Cradle Of Filth cancel June Russian tour

In the wake of Russia recently invading Ukraine, gothic extreme metal outfit Cradle Of Filth have announced the cancellation of their planned Russian tour which they had booked for this June. The band were supposed to begin a tour in Moscow on June 11th that would run through to June 22nd in Novosibirsk.

Speaking on the cancellation yesterday (March 3rd,) the band offered:

As of today and due to the current situation unfurling in Ukraine, Cradle Of Filth have decided to cancel our forthcoming tour of Russia in June.

Responding to negative fan comments on their decision via band’s official Facebook, the group highlighted current travel policies put in place against Russia, offering:

We are literally banned from playing Russia as it stands. Please stop with the idiotic comments. We realise our fans in Russia are not the ones to blame but under the current situation, this is the only path we can follow.
