Canadian hardcore band Comeback Kid is celebrating a significant milestone. The band has released a re-recorded version of their song “Wake The Dead” to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album.
The song, originally written by current singer Andrew Neufeld during his time as guitarist, has become a cornerstone of the band’s live performances. The re-recording aims to honour the song with the current line-up and was mixed by producer Will Putney (Four Year Strong, Body Count, A Day To Remember).
Neufeld says that the ‘Wake The Dead’ album has opened doors for the band around the world. He describes the song as “still the highlight of every gig, no matter where they play.
To mark the anniversary, the band is releasing a re-recorded version as well as a previously unreleased B-side from the original 2005 recording sessions. These will be available on 7″ vinyl.
