In order for frontman Dez Fafara to continue concentrating on his health, DevilDriver and Coal Chamber have decided to postpone any live performances for the remainder of this year until at least Q4 2025. That set of concerts in particular has been cancelled after several attempts to launch their “Fiend For The Fans” tour failed each time because of Fafara’s ongoing health problems. It’s the most recent setback in what must be an exasperating string of setbacks for the singer, as health issues have now repeatedly surfaced to sabotage preparations for tours. Fafara provided an explanation for the cancellations’ necessity in a social media post.
Coal Chamber was set to tour with Fear Factory this March, with shows scheduled until April 20. Several of those dates were already rescheduled from earlier delays, although a few extra dates were added this past December following what appeared to be some assurance that Fafara was improving. Even though it’s disappointing for fans hoping to see Fafara perform live with either band, it’s clear that he should take as long as necessary to fully recover. All the best to him!
