Children of the Frost release a new EP “Last Winter’s Child”

Symphonic metal band Children of the Frost release a new EP “The Last Winter’s Child” today on November 1st 2024. The EP includes three songs and will be available on streaming services.

“Last Winter’s Child” shows what the music of Children of the Frost sounds like and what the band is capable of. It’s heavy but melodic, massive yet detailed and aggressive but also hopeful. It highlights the band members’ abilities as musicians and pushes them to their limits.

Last Winter’s Child was always going to sound good but I was still surprised by just how great it sounds now that it’s finished. I think I speak on behalf of the whole band when I say we’re very proud of what we’ve accomplished.

Children of the Frost is a Finnish symphonic metal band founded in 2015 by the guitarist & vocalist Joni Renko. Their sound has been described as a mix of bands like Nightwish, Epica and Eternal Tears of Sorrow.

The music of Children of the Frost combines catchy melodies with heavy riffs and contrasts clean female vocals with raw death metal growls. Lyrically the band dives into darker waters, exploring the grim and desperate side of the human mind.
