Children of Bodom official book coming soon – the band’s story told in their own words

The story of legendary Finnish metal band Children of Bodom is finally being published as an official book. For the first time, fans will have the chance to dive deep into the band’s history in the members’ own words – unfiltered, honest and full of emotion.

The book is based on the memories of Henkka Seppälä, Janne Wirman, Jaska Raatikainen and Alexander Kuoppala, as well as brand new interviews. Together with their late frontman Alexi Laiho, they recall the band’s formation, its rise to international success and a journey full of triumphs and difficulties spanning more than three decades.

– Since we stopped making music and suffered the tragic loss of our brother Alexi, we’ve been remembering so many great times that we had together, and you can now read about those times in this book. It tells the full history of Children of Bodom in our own words.

The book is written by successful author and long-time music journalist Timo Isoaho, who has been a close friend of the band for many years. His insight brings added depth and a personal touch to the story, making the book an even more intimate and meaningful document of the career of the biggest name in Finnish metal.
