Charon, one of the most significant names in Finnish heavy music of the early 2000s, will make a comeback tour covering six cities in late summer. The metal band, known for its stylish and versatile sound, will kick off their “Fall of Angels – Reunion Tour 2025” celebrating their career at Olympia in Tampere on Friday, August 29. Additionally, the band will perform in Helsinki, Turku, Kuopio, Oulu, and Jyväskylä. The club shows will feature Charon’s greatest hits, a selection of rarely heard gems, and surprises from throughout the band’s entire career. Ticket sales for these unique concerts will begin through the venues’ ticket sales channels on Tuesday, March 25 at 9 AM.

The highly anticipated comeback tour will pay tribute to Charon’s entire catalog as well as their studio album “Songs for the Sinners,” which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Vocalist JP Leppäluoto, known from the popular TV show Elämäni Biisi, Poisonblack, and currently also from the band , comments on Charon’s return after a hiatus of over fourteen years: “We played a few Charon songs with the guys at my 50th birthday party, and it still worked like a charm. The idea of returning really started to appeal to us, as fans have been requesting it for years. If I’m honest, I’ve been dreaming about this myself for several years now. Charon deserves this right now.

Founded in Raahe in 1992, Charon made their definitive breakthrough to the forefront of Finland’s metal scene with their 2002 album “Downhearted.” During their active years, the band released a total of five studio albums and one compilation album. Known for their intense live energy, Charon toured extensively in Finland and abroad alongside other big names in the genre, such as Sentenced and Nightwish. Some of the most famous hits from the band, which disbanded in 2011, include “Little Angel,” “Colder,” and “In Trust of No One.”

Over the years, many people have come to tell us how Charon’s music affected them in the early 2000s and how now, riding the waves of middle age, it would be nice to return to those times. Some of the audience has discovered the band’s music only after we disbanded, so it’s great to get to perform for them for the first time. Warmly welcome to our shows!” drummer Antti Karihtala explains as the reunion approaches.
