Australian melodic metal stalwarts Vanishing Point announce new album and first Single “Bring Me The Night”

The wait is finally over: Australian melodic and progressive metal heavyweights Vanishing Point have officially kicked off the rollout for their next studio release. Teasing fans with the message “It begins… prepare!”, the Melbourne-based band confirmed that September 25th, 2026, will mark the arrival of their brand-new single, “Bring Me The Night” alongside full details regarding their upcoming full-length album.

The release of “Bring Me The Night” will be accompanied by an official music video, set to premiere globally on September 25th at 12:00 PM AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) via the band’s official YouTube channel.

First-look preview shots from the set promise a dark, atmospheric, and polished visual production tailored to the band’s signature anthem-driven sound. In a coordinated launch, Vanishing Point will formally unveil the new album’s title, artwork, tracklist, and release date at the exact moment the video goes live.

Formed in the early 1990s, Australian progressive metal group Vanishing Point originally started under the name EYE, featuring guitarist Tommy Vucur, drummer Jack Lukic, and bassist Joe Del Mastro. The band adopted its current moniker in the mid-’90s following the additions of vocalist Silvio Massaro and keyboardist Pep Sammartino. Soon after bringing on second guitarist Andrew Whitehead, the group recorded their 1996 debut album, “In Thought,” which saw a European release via German label Angular Records in 1997. By 1998, the record was re-issued domestically in Australia by Melbourne’s Metal Warriors, featuring the bonus track “Inner Peace”—the first to feature new guitarist Chris Porcianko, who had replaced Whitehead

Following a high-profile support slot for Yngwie Malmsteen in 1999, keyboardist Pep Sammartino amicably parted ways with Vanishing Point to pursue other projects, making way for replacement Danny Olding. The band soon took their live show overseas to perform at Germany’s Wacken Open Air festival in 2000, setting off an extraordinarily busy 18-month stretch. That same year, they released their sophomore album, “Tangled in Dream”, internationally via German label LMP and domestically through Metal Warriors. The momentum carried into late 2001 with a European tour alongside Gamma Ray and Sonata Arctica—during which Olding pulling double duty on live keys for Gamma Ray—before the group returned home in 2002 for an Australian tour with Edguy.
