Carnal Forge bassist Lars Linden battles cancer – here’s how you can help

Carnal Forge bassist Lars Linden has revealed his ongoing battle with severe cancer. Since April 2023, Linden has been undergoing intensive treatment for colon cancer, which has subsequently spread to his liver.

The 53-year-old musician has undergone multiple surgeries, including the removal of 25 centimeters of his colon and the primary tumor. He has also received 27 chemotherapy treatments. As a result of these procedures, he now has a stoma and a catheter.

The Swedish healthcare system can no longer offer Linden treatment options. Doctors have given a grim prognosis: he has weeks to months left to live. In response, Linden has established a GoFundMe campaign to seek treatment abroad.

“Unfortunately, the liver metastases have grown and spread too extensively, making surgery impossible at this time. Swedish hospitals no longer have treatment options available,” Linden explains.

The fundraising campaign aims to reach 200,000 Swedish kronor (approximately $18,300). So far, 28 donors have contributed 17,950 kronor (about $1,640). Donations can be made through Linden’s GoFundMe page.
