Cannibal Corpse guitarist Rob Barrett is currently under scrutiny following serious allegations from his ex-girlfriend, Ashley Christine, who claims he inflicted physical, verbal, financial, and sexual abuse during their relationship from October 2024 to March 2025.
Christine describes in a since deleted Facebook post a progression from harsh insults and controlling behavior to physical violence. She recounts incidents including Barrett throwing objects, kicking her, refusing to use protection during sex, and threatening her with revenge porn if she attempted to leave.
In her public statement, Christine also alleges Barrett misled her about his marital status—he reportedly told her he and his wife, Irina, were separated, but she remained married. Christine accuses Irina of orchestrating an international sexual blackmail and romance scam ring, claiming it involved over 150 victims, including herself. She asserts that FBI agents recently executed a search at Barrett’s Tennessee residence and that Irina is under investigation—and possibly wanted by Interpol.
According to Christine, Barrett facilitated the scheme by providing his home and financial backing for Irina, who allegedly evaded capture in Europe since 2011. He also reportedly monitored her through home cameras while controlling and isolating Christine. Christine says she fled in March after enduring manipulation, including threats of self-harm from Barrett to keep her from leaving, and blackmail from Irina using nude photos.
Christine has provided legal documents, including an arrest warrant and photos of her injuries, and urges others affected to contact the FBI or her directly. As of July 2, 2025, no public statement has come from Barrett, Irina, or Cannibal Corpse, and there has been no confirmation of any charges or legal actions.
