A power metal band from Canada Tim Berry, a 27-year-old metalhead, and others were treated to a concert by The Scepter at a hospital in Ottawa, Ontario, as per theprp. Due to serious health issues, Berry has been unable to fulfil his desire of attending a heavy metal performance. According to CTV, this prompted the medical team at Bruyère Health in Ottawa, Ontario, to get in touch with Berry and organise this event. Dominion Tavern, a local venue, helped organise the performance, which was presented in a board room at the medical center for free. Berry was made up for the event by medical staff, who painted his nails and put on a metal shirt. The set was also seen by other patients with health issues.
Josh Collins, guitarist for The Scepter, said, “We were happy to have our sunglasses on,” describing the performance as an emotional experience. According to Roshene Lawson, clinical chaplain at Bruyère Health, “I had nurses coming up to me after and hugging me and tearing up and saying, ‘I’m so glad Tim got to have this.‘”
The Heavy-Power Metal group The Scepter was founded in Ottawa, Canada, in 2018. Their sound is defined by harmonised guitars and the soaring vocals of JP Abboud, who joined The Scepter in 2025 and recorded vocals for the debut album “Shadows In The Tower.” They draw inspiration from bands such as Riot, Tokyo Blade, Blind Guardian, and Helloween. With numerous upcoming performances to accompany “Shadows in the Tower,” The Scepter has established themselves as a potent live act. Topon Das, Adam Pell, and Mike Poisson were the recording engineers. Jeff Black and Mike Poisson mixed it. Jeff Black is the master. Alexander Roivainen created the cover art.
