Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer”reaches 1 billion YouTube views

American rock legends Bon Jovi must be happy now for a good reason: the band’s classic track “Livin’ On A Prayer” has surpassed 1 billion views on You Tube.

The video, directed by Wayne Isham, was shot September 17, 1986, at the Grand Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles. It features the band rehearsing and performing. In addition, frontman Jon Bon Jovi soars over the crowd with the help of a harness.

Livin’ On A Prayer” was released in October 1986 and was the second hit single from their acclaimed album, “Slippery When Wet”.

Group’s song joins such other billion-viewed videos as Guns N’ Roses‘ “November Rain” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” Linkin Park‘s “Numb,” Queen‘s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Audioslave‘s “Like a Stone“, Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ “Californication” and more in the club.
