“Big” John Harte, security guard for Kiss, Iron Maiden, Prince and others, has died

Long-time music world security guard “Big” John Harte has died. Harte passed away on 11th of February at the age of 70 after a battle with cancer.

Harte will be remembered as a security guard for many bands and musicians. His clients have included rock icon Kiss, heavy metal great Iron Maiden, rock musician Billy Idol and multi-talent Prince.

A book about his career, which began in the 1970s, will be published in 2023.

Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and Ace Frehley have shared their condolences on social media.
