In 1991, Behemoth was founded as a trio consisting of Desecrator on rhythm guitar, Baal on drums, and Nergal on lead guitar and vocals. “The Return of the Northern Moon” and “Endless Damnation” were their first demonstrations. But the fourth demo was the most important—”…The Pagan Vastlands” (1994). Pagan Records, a Polish label, first issued this tape, followed by Wild Rags. “Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic)”, their first studio album, was released in 1995.
