Bask share new single “The Traveler” ahead of upcoming album

Asheville’s Heavy Americana outfit Bask have unveiled a new track called “The Traveler”, setting the tone for their forthcoming fourth album “The Turning”. The song appears as the third track on the album, which was announced earlier this summer.

“The Turning” is scheduled for release on August 22nd via Season of Mist. The album promises a blend of heavy riffs and cosmic Americana textures—partly thanks to the addition of the band’s newest member, Jed Willis, whose pedal steel work weaves into the mix and expands the group’s sound into more psychedelic dimensions.

The band described the album as their most cohesive and heartfelt effort yet, shaped by challenges like COVID-19 and Hurricane Helene, which impacted their creative journey. “The Traveler” serves as a glimpse into Bask’s evolving identity—a mix of rugged mountain roots and expansive sonic exploration.
