Attack Attack! drop new single “I Complain On r/Metalcore” ahead of upcoming album

Attack Attack! have just dropped their cheekiest single yet, titled “I Complain On r/Metalcore”. The track was penned by current members Andrew Wetzel, Chris Parketny, Cameron Walker, Evan McKeever, and James Wrigley, and it comes as the band gears up for their upcoming album, “Attack Attack! II”, set for release on August 8th, 2025.

In a playful jab at the online metalcore scene, the song’s title takes direct aim at Reddit’s r/Metalcore community. Teased via social media shortly before release, the single sparked plenty of buzz and conversation online—especially among fans familiar with the subreddit’s love-hate relationship with the band.

As expected, the track stirred mixed reactions. While some fans embraced the band’s self-aware humor and signature electronic metalcore style, others were quick to dismiss it, calling for a return to their older sound. But controversy and divided opinions are nothing new for Attack Attack!, who’ve long thrived in their role as scene provocateurs.

“I Complain On r/Metalcore” continues the band’s steady output of singles over the past year and sets the tone for what listeners can expect from “Attack Attack! II” this August.
