German metal band Asenblut have entered the Official German Album Charts at #11 with their latest album, “Urgewalt”, marking the band’s highest chart position in Germany to date.
Released on September 18th, 2026 via Massacre Records, “Urgewalt” follows the band’s previous album, “Entfesselt”, which reached #25 on the German Album Charts in 2024. The new chart result marks a significant step forward for the band and underlines the strong response to their latest release in their home country.
On “Urgewalt”, Asenblut continue to combine melodic death metal with powerful riffs, epic melodies and atmospheric elements. The album showcases the band’s distinctive sound while further developing the musical direction established throughout their previous releases.
Formed in Göttingen, Asenblut have been an active force in the German metal scene for more than two decades. Over the years, the band have built a dedicated following through their albums and extensive live activity, establishing their own distinctive take on melodic and epic metal.
