On July 31, Ozzy Osbourne‘s family and friends attended a private funeral service where he was buried on the grounds of his estate in Buckinghamshire, UK. During the invite-only event, a flower arrangement that read “Ozzy Fucking Osbourne” was displayed on the estate’s grounds to add some humor. Zakk Wylde, his longtime countryman, was among the rock and metal royalty who attended the funeral for the late Prince of Darkness. Wylde was seen carrying acoustic guitars. In addition to Sir Elton John, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Corey Taylor (Slipknot), James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo from Metallica, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward were there. TMZ posted a few pictures of the attendees showing up for the last farewell. Osbourne was buried on the family home, close to a lake, and the Sun reports that about 110 people attended the burial.

Today we laid to rest a beloved friend. I am eternally grateful that you let me into your life Ozzy. Your inspiration and love will always be with me. Thank you Sharon and family for a reverent, beautiful ceremony. Your legacy lives on Marilyn Manson

Today we said goodbye to the greatest of all time.
