Archspire release official live video for “Limb of Leviticus”

Canadian technical death metal powerhouse Archspire have unleashed a brand-new live video for their track “Limb of Leviticus“, as per theprp. Directed by Savannah Bagshaw, the song serves as the second single from the band’s crowdfunded album “Too Fast To Die”, which arrived this past April. In support of the new record, the group is set to head overseas next month for a fresh European run, bringing along an impressive supporting lineup featuring Crown Magnetar, The Zenith Passage, and Analepsy.

Formed in 2007 under the moniker Defenestrated, Canadian tech-death group Archspire officially adopted their current name in 2009. The original lineup featured guitarists Tobi Morelli and Dean Lamb, drummer Spencer Prewett, bassist Jaron “Evil” Good, and vocalist Shawn Haché—who soon departed for Mitochondrion and was succeeded by Oliver “Oli Peters” Aleron. After signing with Trendkill Recordings, the band released their debut album, “All Shall Align”, in April 2011, tracked at Calgary’s The Hive Studio with producer Stuart McKillop.

Tragedy struck in early 2013 when Jaron Evil suffered a stroke at just 31 years old; despite a brief return, he left the group later that year and was replaced by Clayton Harder. Later in 2013, Archspire inked a deal with Season of Mist and returned to the studio with McKillop at Vancouver’s Rain City Recorders. They previewed their sophomore record with the February 2014 single “Lucid Collective Somnambulation” before dropping the full-length album, “The Lucid Collective”, that April.
