German metalcore act Annisokay have returned with a powerful new single titled “Splinters”, released today, October 10. The track marks the latest preview from their upcoming EP Abyss – The Final Chapter, which lands November 21 and will unite the band’s two previous Abyss EPs into one definitive statement.
Formed in Halle (Saale) in 2007, the band has steadily risen to become one of Europe’s most exciting heavy acts. From early demos to six major releases—including five full-length albums and the “Abyss Pt I & II” EPs—Annisokay have consistently evolved their sound while expanding their global reach.
The band’s chart performance reflects that upward momentum. “Enigmatic Smile” (2015) entered the German charts at #68, followed by “Devil May Care” (2016) at #74, “Arms” (2018) at #26, and “Aurora” (2021), which cracked the Top 20 at #18 and also charted in Switzerland at #49. On the streaming front, the “Abyss” EPs have already racked up over 36 million streams on Spotify, and the band now boasts more than 480,000 monthly listeners.
Known for blending soaring clean vocals with fierce screams and punchy production, “Splinters” showcases Annisokay’s signature fusion of melody and aggression. The band also dropped an official video alongside the track, visually capturing the emotional weight and energy of the song.
Live, the band has only gotten stronger. The Abyss Tour and Abyss Pt II Europe Tour have marked their biggest headline runs to date, with 30 shows across 14 countries. They’ve also hit major milestones on the festival circuit this year, performing at both Summer Breeze and Wacken Open Air.
