Anberlin release “Gravity,” third single from upcoming album “Currency”

Florida alternative rock veterans Anberlin drop “Gravity,” the third single from their upcoming ninth studio album “Currency.” The track follows “Highstakes” and lead single “Neverafter,” which arrived in August alongside the album announcement.

“Currency” marks Anberlin’s first full-length record with new vocalist Matty Mullins at the helm. Mullins took over after founding vocalist Stephen Christian stepped away from touring in October 2023. He first appeared on two tracks from 2024’s “Vega” before the band released “Nevertake,” a full re-recording of “Never Take Friendship Personal,” in March 2025.

The band produced the album alongside Kellen McGregor of Memphis May Fire. “Currency” runs eleven tracks deep and features a collaboration with Switchfoot on “Trenches.”

Speaking about the record, Mullins shared: “The overall theme of ‘Currency’ is what happens after everything you built your identity on falls apart. It’s a journey through heartbreak, loss, addiction, shame, and the lies we tell ourselves.”

“Currency” arrives November 11 through Equal Vision/Civilians. Stream “Gravity” now on all major platforms.
