After cancellation in 2024: The Ultimate Rockfest 2025 with Sister and Trench Dogs stays in Karlskrona

There are many – and partly surprising – updates from The Ultimate Rockfest. The 2024 edition of the one-day indoor festival was scheduled to take place at the Brinova Arena in the Swedish city of Karlskrona on 28 September 2024, but was cancelled due to low ticket sales. At the same time, the organisers assured that the 2025 edition of The Ultimate Rockfest, which has been in the making since the beginning of 2024, will take place, but with a completely different line-up and at a different location, namely in Helsingborg, about 220 km away from Karlskrona.

It was repeatedly emphasised that “Karlskrona is a difficult city” to arrange such an event, and The Ultimate Rockfest 2025 had already been advertised with the new location, Helsingborg Arena, but now the organisers are back-pedalling: While the date, 11 October 2025, remains unchanged, The Ultimate Rockfest 2025 is now scheduled to take place at the Brinova Arena in Karlskrona. In other words: The move to Helsingborg is off the table. “Out of respect for Helsingborg Arena”, the organisers do not want to “go into detail” about the reasons for the cancelled move, nor do they want to “go into details about why we chose Brinova again”. At the same time, the first two bands of the line-up for 2025 have been revealed: The Swedish sleaze metallers Sister and the Swedish rock’n’rollers Trench Dogs. The latter were already booked for The Ultimate Rockfest 2024, which also modifies the announcement of a “brand new line-up” for the Ultimate Rockfest 2025.
