The Italian darkwave trio This Eternal Decay has released “a more ‘soft’ version” of the music video for their current single “Broken Heart“. You can check out the video below:

Already shortly after the release of the original version, This Eternal Decay shared that YouTube had “deleted all the views, likes, and comments” that the music video had garnered:

“The ‘tube platform’ has mistakenly deleted all the views, likes, and comments collected over this past week (over 3k). Help us re-share this little gem of a video we’re very proud of and bring back all the love it deserves.”

Two weeks later, the band has released the censored version with the following explanation:

“We had to upload a more ‘soft’ version of the video for ‘BROKEN HEART,’ written and created by EraserDread. Unfortunately, the platforms hosting it decided to shadowban it because it was considered visually ‘too intense’… it’s kind of ironic, considering the times we’re living in, censoring a cartoon video for strong imagery while we’re stuck between a genocide and a crazy president bombing at random to cover up his own wrongdoing… Anyway, the uncensored version is still online, you’ll just have to find it yourselves! Enjoy this sweeter version, which is still a masterpiece!”
