Swedish metalcore veterans Adept have returned with a fierce statement of intent. They’ve just unveiled the official music video for the title track “Blood Covenant”. The long-anticipated fifth full-length album is out now through Napalm Records.
“Blood Covenant” marks the band’s first new full-length in nine years. With sharpened aggression and a cinematic atmosphere, the bad is reclaiming their place in the metalcore world with purpose.
Formed in Trosa, Sweden in 2004, Adept became known for their high-energy blend of metalcore and post-hardcore. Their last album, “Sleepless”, was released in 2016. Now, with “Blood Covenant”, the band kicks off a new era that fuses emotional depth with technical precision.
The title track sets the tone right away, opening the album with moody guitars and emotionally charged hooks. The sound is bigger, darker and more refined, combining crushing breakdowns with soaring clean vocals. The song’s visual counterpart mirrors the music’s tone, blending dramatic lighting and raw performance energy.
Production was handled by Henrik Udd, known for his work with bands like Architects and Bring Me the Horizon. The mastering was done by Thomas “Plec” Johansson.
To support the album, Adept will launch a 20-year anniversary European and UK tour this winter. Support acts include Thousand Below and Ocean Sleeper, with rotating openers such as the recently returned Intohimo and Hope Dies Last. Key dates include November 27 in Berlin and December 3 in London, with more shows across the continent.
