Adept premiere new “Parting Ways” video as EU and UK tour nears

Swedish metalcore veterans Adept keep pushing their comeback forward today with the release of the official video for “Parting Ways”. Directed by Pavel Trebukhin, the clip lands weeks after the band dropped their long-awaited fifth album “Blood Covenant”, their first full-length in nine years. The new record arrived through Napalm Records.

The fresh video follows the earlier launch of the album’s title track, which introduced fans to a darker and more atmospheric chapter in the band’s sound. Adept formed in Trosa in 2004 and built their name on energetic metalcore that blended melody and grit. Their last album “Sleepless” came out in 2016, so this new era arrives with weight. The band lean into bigger hooks, tighter breakdowns and a moodier cinematic edge. Henrik Udd handled production while Thomas “Plec” Johansson took care of mastering, which gives the album a sharp and heavy finish.

“Parting Ways” fits that direction well. The song moves with emotional tension, and the video mirrors its tone with raw performance shots and dramatic lighting. It shows a band that want to reclaim their space with confidence. The timing lines up with their 20-year anniversary European and UK tour, where they will be joined by Thousand Below and Ocean Sleeper. Intohimo and Hope Dies Last will appear on select nights.
