2007 called — and it said “Gold”: A7X x Good Charlotte collab certified

In addition to their work with the multi-platinum alternative metal band Avenged Sevenfold, guitarist Synyster Gates and vocalist M. Shadows have obtained a new gold status. “The River,” their 2007 joint single with Good Charlotte, recently became a gold standard in the US. Early in 2007, the song was released as the lead single from “Good Morning Revival,” the recently gold-certified Good Charlotte album. On June 20th, the RIAA presented both certificates. In the US, a platinum album or single is worth one million copies, whereas a gold album or single is worth half a million copies. The certifications take into account digital streams and downloads, with 1500 on-demand audio/video streaming from a specific album and 10 permanent track downloads considered as one unit.
