British hard rockers Wytch Hazel return with their fifth album, “V: Lamentations”, out now via Bad Omen Records. Recorded with longtime producer Ed Turner, the album builds on the band’s previous releases, including 2023’s “IV: Sacrament”, which cracked Billboard’s Top New Artist Albums chart.

“V: Lamentations” delivers ten tracks full of soaring melodies, galloping riffs, and introspective lyrics. In celebration of the release, the band dropped a video for “The Citadel,” a haunting, medieval-tinged track driven by mandolin melodies, plaintive harmonies, and emotional weight. The song explores themes of inadequacy and contrasts with the affirming tone of “Woven,” another single from the record.

“Woven” showcases the band’s knack for crafting heartfelt rock with a rustic charm, while “Elements”—also released with a video—channels 70s FM radio rock and prog influences, offering bright hooks and lyrical reflections on nature’s power.
