Wytch Hazel channels ’70s rock on fresh new single “Elements” – new album drops in July

British hard rock outfit Wytch Hazel is back with a brand-new single, “Elements”, taken from their upcoming album “V: Lamentations”, set for release on July 4 via Bad Omen Records. The album continues the band’s signature blend of classic heavy rock, heard on past releases like “II: Sojourn”, “III: Pentecost”, and their Billboard-charting “IV: Sacrament”. Behind the desk once again is longtime producer Ed Turner.

“Elements” arrives with a music video and leans heavily into vintage vibes, drawing inspiration from ’70s giants like Blue Öyster Cult and Kansas. Packed with infectious melodies and soaring solos, the track may have pushed vocalist Colin Hendra outside his comfort zone creatively, but he says the band couldn’t be happier with the result.

Earlier this year, fans got a taste of the record with the first single “Woven”, a track that blends earthy instrumentation with a rustic, romantic atmosphere and explores an unexpectedly tender theme for the heavy rock scene. According to Hendra, the song was born during a jam session, with its guitar solo initially improvised and later carefully reconstructed note for note.

Wytch Hazel consists of Colin Hendra (vocals, guitar), Alex Haslam (guitar), Andy Shackleton (bass), and Aaron Hay (drums).
