Former Mötley Crüe singer John Corabi was asked if he would attend the band’s fictitious induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in a recent interview with the “Talk Louder” podcast, which is hosted by seasoned music writer “Metal Dave” Glessner and longtime hard rock/metal vocalist Jason McMaster, as per Blabbermouth. In response, Corabi joined MÖTLEY CRÜE in 1992, taking Vince Neil’s place as the original vocalist.
No. First of all, I can pretty much guarantee you I won’t be invited. So it just a no. To be quite honest with you, I am fine with, obviously, Mick Mars. Mick lives about 20 minutes from me [in Nashville]. So I’m fine with Mick Mars. If Vince Neil walked in here right now, we’d hug each other and probably sit down and have a cocktail together and shoot the fat for about two hours. I’m fine with Vince. Tommy and I communicate via text, and I don’t get to see him that often, but we still communicate via text. For some weird reason, and it’s really a one-sided kind of beef, Nikki’s got some weird hair up his ass about all things John Corabi. And I don’t really have an issue with the guy. It doesn’t matter.
So, I can pretty much guarantee it, a) I won’t be invited, and b),to be honest with you, I kind of learned my lesson doing that record. I am not a part of the… Mötley is Nikki, Tommy, Vince and Mick. And anybody else that was involved or whatever, that’s great. But it’s their night, their moment, their thing.
I am looking forward to when the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame does open a category. They have the platinum record category, the gold record category. I’m waiting for them to do the aluminum record category, because I have 19 consecutive aluminum records, and once they do that, I’m fucking first guy in, bitches. First guy in.
