Wonderbus Columbus Back to Life: What happened this weekend?

Since the pandemic took the world by storm in the year 2020, events have gone off globally, particularly in the USA. The unique U.S. festival, WonderBus, went offline completely before a brief and unusual season was held in 2021. The festival, however, came back with a bang as fans were treated to three magical nights last weekend. As Product Owner Tony Sloterman popularly says, the best events come in threes.

What is WonderBus Music and Art Festival?

WonderBus festival Columbus is an annual music festival on the lawn at CAS, Ohio. The festival aims to understand mental health’s power and support friends and families going through depression or suicidal thoughts.

Where it all started

The festival began in the year 2019, featuring such musicians as Ben Harper, Trombone Shorty, the Revivalists, and Walk the Moon. Being a huge success in every aspect, the festival was set to hold in 2020 but was unfortunately canceled due to the pandemic.

WonderBus Music and Art festival presents unique live artworks and artistic displays, great music from various musicians such as Duran Duran, Lorde, The Lumineers, Jack Harris, Day Two, Cousin Simple, Rebounder, and many more.

When did WonderBus 2022 happen?

The 2022 edition of WonderBus was a three-day event, that lasted from Friday, 26th August to Sunday, 28th August, and it was held on the lawn at CAS, Ohio, Columbus.

WonderBus 2022 headliners included Duran on Friday 26th, Lorde on Saturday 27th, and The Lumineers on Sunday 28th. Other notable artists that performed were Coin, Meg Myers, James Bay, Beach Bunny, Neal Francis, Daisy The Great, Cannons, Cautious Clay, Max, The Knocks, and many more. There were also performances from Ohio stars like Cousin Sample, 90’s Kids, Cousin Simple, and Detention.

Young The Giant was a notable absentee. The rock band was scheduled to perform on 28th August. However, the expected delivery of Young The Giant’s Sameer Gadhia child happened in the week of WonderBus. The event organizers have assured fans of their plan to bring Young the Giant into the 2023 schedules next summer.

Kid’s tickets were around $39 to $329, while Adult tickets ranged from $79 to $625.

So, what’s more? Considering the fact that this year’s festival turned out to be a real blast, we should definitely expect more in the future. At last, we deserve it after the long time under the pandemic’s lock.
