Deathcore outfit Whitechapel played a show with their ‘new’ drummer Ernie Iniguez last night, December 17th. Iniguez previously served as the band’s touring drummer around 2017-2019. This new show marked Whitechapel‘s first live performance since December of 2019 and took place at the Mill & Mine in their hometown of Knoxville, TN.
Ernie Iniguez has described his current role as being that of a “fill-in” for the group and does not appear to be considered a permanent member at this juncture. Never the less, he sat behind the kit last night, filling the void left by Alex Rudinger in the group, who publicly announced his departure earlier this month, despite leaving the group some time prior. Somewhat ironically, it was Rudinger who previously took over from Iniguez.
