With a teaser of an alleged new song, “the paradox of progress,” posted on their social media this morning, While She Sleeps appears to have some new music on the way, as per theprp. The song will be released on Wednesday, February 11th at 10:00am GMT, so fans eager to hear what the trio will do next won’t have to wait long.

Sheffield, England is home to the metalcore band While She Sleeps. The band was founded in 2006 and is made up of drummer Adam Savage, bassist Aaran McKenzie, guitarists Sean Long and Mat Welsh, and singer Lawrence Taylor. At the moment, they are signed to Sleeps Brothers, their own label in the UK, Spinefarm Records in the US, and UNFD in Australia. They have six studio albums, including “This Is the Six”, “Brainwashed”, “You Are We”, “So What?”, “Sleeps Society”, and “Self Hell”, as well as three EPs, “And This Is Just the Start”, “Split”, and “The North Stands for Nothing”. Since its founding, the group has remained in the same lineup, with Taylor becoming the new vocalist in 2009 after Jordan Widdowson left.

They were referred to as “best mates since school” and had previously performed together in a number of bands before starting While She Sleeps. “And This Is Just the Start”, their debut EP, was published in 2006. However, there was no label release for this EP. The majority of the band chose to devote themselves to the band “full time” in 2009 after a few live performances. Limited to 100 copies, the band’s split EP with Andwhitestars was issued by James Records in March 2009. Following this, Widdowson, the band’s singer, made the decision to quit because of employment obligations. The band started working on their third EP in a home studio when vocalist Lawrence Taylor joined the group.
