What is Peter Criss teasing? Here’s our theory

Peter Criss, the original drummer for KISS, is hinting at what will likely be the first formal information about his impending solo album on Halloween, as reported by blabbermouth.net. A spooky video featuring the date “October 31, 2025” flashing on the screen and the names of two record companies, Flatiron and Silver Cat, was posted on social media earlier today by the 79-year-old singer. Peter discussed his upcoming rock solo album with The Rock Experience With Mike Brunn in April of this year. Criss and Barry Pointer, who has collaborated with Ozzy Osbourne, John 5, Mötley Crüe, Steve Stevens, Pearl Aday, and Dolly Parton, co-produced the album.

The LP features Paul Shaffer on piano, John 5 and Mike McLaughlin on guitar, Billy Sheehan and Matthew Montgomery (also known as Piggy D.) on bass, and obviously the iconic KISS musician. CAT 5‘s Cat Manning and Dennis and Sharon Collins, who provide background vocals, are also included on the LP.

Yeah, I’m excited. I got great players on it. I got Billy Sheehan, Paul Shaffer, Johnny 5, Michael, my guitarist, [and] I got Piggy from Rob Zombie. So it’s like a dream team band. And it’s a real Peter Criss album. It’s an album I always wanted to do. And hopefully the fans will like it.

In June 2017, Criss performed in what was touted as his last complete U.S. show at New York City’s Cutting Room. Although he and his former colleagues did not perform at the ceremony, Peter last made an appearance onstage with KISS in 2014, when the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Criss received the Legacy Award on April 25 at the Raven Drum Foundation event held at the renowned Cutting Room in New York City. Criss and the other founding members of KISS will be honored at the Kennedy Center on December 7th, and the ceremony will be broadcast on CBS on December 23rd.
