Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit is working with Pleymo on new material

Pleymo, a French nu metal band, has recently returned to the studio to write and demo new songs for their first official release since 2006, as per theprp. Wes Borland, the guitarist for Limp Bizkit, once joined the group in the studio during their recent 10 days of writing and demoing in Arizona. The reel below, which was released by Pleymo singer Mark Maggiori and picked up by Alternativ News, shows his time playing guitar with the group. According to the band, they anticipate continuing to work on their comeback until the summer, when they formally enter the studio to record it.

Pleymo began as “Pleymobill” in 1997, but after adding turntablist DJ Frank (Frank Bailleul) to the band’s roster, the name was finally condensed to what it is today. The guitarist at the time, Mathias, left the band that same year, and Erik De Villoutreys subsequently took his place. The trio gradually gained popularity and eventually attracted the interest of producer Stéphane Kraemer. Their debut album, “Keçkispasse”, was released on June 15, 1999. signed with the Wet Music label. 
In 2000, the band received an offer for a record deal from Epic, a division of Sony.

Produced by Fabrice Leyni, “Episode 2: Medecine Cake” was released in 2002. Pleymo became a well-known new French band after sales of their second album surpassed 50,000. Pleymo performed at the Summer Sonic Festival in Tokyo and Osaka in August 2002, sharing the stage with well-known international performers including No Doubt and The Offspring. As a result, they were already well-known in the UK, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Japan, where they performed extensively in 2002 and 2004. Additionally, Doctor Tank’s Medicine Cake, an English-language CD with English lyrics, was released. The group’s six-track album (“Ep)Live”), which was recorded at the Les Eurockéennes event in Belfort, was published in November 2002.
