“We’re looking to the future of the artists and the community” – new details are revealed about Warped Tour 2025

The formal announcement on the 2025 return of the “Vans Warped Tour” was released yesterday. The dates, cost, and general plans for this event’s 30th-anniversary comeback were outlined in an official press release, but a follow-up interview with founder Kevin Lyman has verified a few additional facts. Lyman gave some clues about the possible future of the festival tour and the reasons it will only be visiting three cities for its significant comeback in that Rolling Stone article that was released today.

People start remembering once something’s gone that it was important, it was fun — and I’m hoping to recapture a lot of that again.

Once more departing from the conventional travelling tour format that made “Warped Tour” well-known (the leg was also restricted to a few locations for a 2019 25th anniversary commemoration).

My body won’t take riding around on a tour bus for 40 cities.

Although there have been many difficulties in recent years due to the financial reality of holding festivals and tours, Lyman did say that additional locations may be added in the future if these dates prove to be successful.

If it works, we’ll look to the future to do more.

For every stop, between 70 and 100 musicians are scheduled, including both up-and-coming performers and previous tour favourites. According to Lyman, he has been trying to add some “unique twists” to the lineup.

We’re getting very, very selective in trying to find some unique twists to the lineup. I’ve always felt we need to pay homage to the past, but we’re looking to the future of the artists and the community.

Prior to the festival, a series of weekly lineup releases are anticipated. Additionally, Lyman confirmed that the festival’s inflatable daily setlist, which outlines the running order for each day, will once again welcome guests as they arrive.
