Wayfarer drop “Grey Country” featuring Munly J Munly

Colorado western black metal outfit Wayfarer have dropped “Grey Country,” the third single from their upcoming album “Riders of the Setting Sun.” The track features Munly J Munly and Rebecca Vera as guests, and the full album arrives on November 20, 2026.

“Riders of the Setting Sun” also marks new creative ground for the band. Producer Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe) helmed the sessions for the first time, while James Barone (Beach House) and Iver Sandøy (Enslaved) handled recording and mixing. According to the band, the record folds threads of post-punk, American folk, and rock and roll into the sound they have spent a decade building. They call it a deliberate step beyond the extreme metal scene that first defined them.

Celebrated film poster artist Tony Stella created the album artwork. In fact, this cover stands among his final works before his passing earlier this year. Wayfarer and Vesperian have expressed their honor at collaborating with him.

“Riders of the Setting Sun” launches as a limited Digipak CD, tape, and vinyl LP. The LP edition includes a booklet, poster, and OBI strip. A limited “glowing embers” version with orange, gold, and black splatter vinyl stays exclusive to North America at 500 copies.
