Volbeat have just announced via their social media channels that guitarist Flemming C. Lund is now a permanent member of the band. Lund began his career in the early 1990s with the melodic death metal band Autumn Leaves, with whom he released two studio albums. Dissatisfied with the band’s development, he formed the thrash metal band Scavenger with bassist Boris Tandrup.
Around the same time, Lund joined the band Invocator, with whom he released their last studio album to date, “Through the Flesh to the Soul”, in 2003. After the album’s release, he returned to his band Scavenger, which renamed itself The Arcane Order after releasing a promo CD in 2005. According to Lund, there were at least five other bands with this name, so the musicians sought a more original name. The Arcane Order released three studio albums. In 2018, Lund founded the death metal band Temple of Scorn, which has released one studio album to date.
We’re very happy to announce that after this past year of touring and, of course, laying down some scorching solos on God Of Angels Trust… we’ve finally “put a ring on it” and @fclund is officially the permanent lead guitar player in Volbeat.
Aside from seeing him on the road with us this past year, you can also find Flemming playing with his other bands @thearcaneorderofficial, @templeofscorn and of course with @asinhellmusic, and you may have heard him in his previous band, Autumn Leaves.
Please join us in giving Flemming a proper “welcome aboard,” and we’ll see you on the road this Summer!
