Ozzy Osbourne, the Prince of Darkness, received recognition at the “BRIT Awards” ceremony in Manchester, UK, as per theprp. First, the late heavy metal legend received the Lifetime Achievement Award as a posthumous tribute. British pop sensation Robbie Williams led a performance of the title track from his 1991 successful solo album “No More Tears” as part of a musical homage to him. Williams was supported by a slew of former Osbourne bandmates, including keyboardist Adam Wakeman, drummer Tommy Clufetos, bassist Robert Trujillo, and guitarist Zakk Wylde. Below is fan-captured video of that performance from the awards show’s livestream.
Dolly Parton‘s video testimonial for Ozzy preceded Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy‘s wife, as she accepted the Lifetime Achievement Awards on his behalf. Sharon continued by saying this while accompanied by Ozzy‘s son Louis and her daughter Kelly.
I’m honored to accept this award for my gorgeous husband. God knows I wish he was here to accept it himself… Ozzy is looking down on us right now… He rose to become one of the most recognizable and respected musicians. … To be honest with you, he was the most humble egomaniac you will ever meet. At the end of the day, he will always be a rock star… If Ozzy was here tonight … he would be so proud to receive this from the country that he loved.
Turnstile and Sleep Token both departed the 2026 “BRIT Awards” without winning anything. Despite the fact that both of those bands had an incredible 2025, setting records and scaling new heights, neither was able to win any prizes this evening. That was not the case at the Grammy Awards earlier this month, as the Baltimore, Maryland band Turnstile won two awards: Best Rock Album for “NEVER ENOUGH” and Best Metal Performance for “Birds,” defeating Sleep Token, Ghost, and others. Even though Sleep Token‘s most recent album, “Even In Arcadia,” made history on the charts last May, the enigmatic group lost to Nine Inch Nails in the Best Rock Song category at the Grammy Awards.
