A professionally recorded video of Bruce Dickinson performing a full-band rendition of Iron Maiden‘s “Flash Of The Blade” and an a cappella rendition of “Revelations” during his solo group’s September 7 performance at The Town event in São Paulo, Brazil, is available for streaming online. As reported from blabbermouth.net, Bruce made a reference to Iron Maiden’s 1985 performance in front of 350,000 people at the inaugural Rock In Rio festival before starting into “Revelations.” During the band’s set, he unintentionally struck his face with a guitar during “Revelations,” but he still sang despite the bleeding wound on his head.

40 years ago, I was in the other place, up the road, Rio De Janeiro, Rock In Rio. Famously I cut my fucking head open with a guitar, and they’re still using that picture… So I thought we could at least pay homage to what that song was.

After the first Iron Maiden track, he then said:

So that’s all you’re gonna get of ‘Revelations’. ‘Cause I thought we might do this instead.
