Mötley Crüe was not going to make a low-key entrance simply because they were playing at a small venue. The “White Trash Circus” came for their Monday gig at Los Angeles’ legendary Troubadour club in the back of a garbage truck. A new video on their social media shows the rockers exiting the rear of the car — accompanied by a mattress, a bra, a pair of heels, and a ton of garbage bags — and being met by a massive audience on Santa Monica Boulevard before entering the 500-person club. Mötley Crüe‘s Troubadour concert was the first of three shows of their “Hollywood Takeover,” a ploy intended to reconnect them with their L.A. club roots. They’ll continue their mini-tour on Wednesday at the Roxy and on Friday at the Whisky A Go Go. Mötley performed its standard greatest hits set at the Troubadour despite the Hollywood Takeover’s pared-down concept. Along with the recent single “Dogs of War” and a rendition of Beastie Boys‘ “Fight for Your Right,” the 16-song show featured hits including “Primal Scream,” “Shout at the Devil,” and “Kickstart My Heart.” Mötley Crüe‘s latest EP, “Cancelled”, was released on Friday and featured the latter two tunes. The title track, which concluded the three-song EP, had the band boasting that they had never actually been held accountable for their deeds.
