American metal band Vended have returned to the studio to work on new material, with acclaimed producer Nick Raskulinecz involved in the recording sessions. According to footage recently shared on the band’s social media accounts, Vended have been recording in Nashville, Tennessee, with sessions taking place at multiple locations.

Drums have been recorded at Sienna Studios, while additional instrumental work has been underway at Raskulinecz’s Rock Falcon Studio. The producer himself can be seen in the behind-the-scenes footage, confirming his involvement in the band’s latest recording activities.

Vended team up with producer known for Deftones, Ghost and Foo Fighters

Raskulinecz is one of the most established producers in modern rock and metal, having worked with artists including Deftones, Ghost, Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Korn and Rush. His extensive production credits include Foo Fighters’ “One By One” and “In Your Honor”, as well as acclaimed releases by numerous other major rock and metal acts.

The collaboration represents another significant step for Vended, who have continued building their own identity within the contemporary metal scene. The band feature vocalist Griffin Taylor, son of Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, and drummer Simon Crahan, son of Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan.

Despite those family connections, Vended have consistently worked to establish themselves as an independent band through original releases and extensive live performances.

New recordings follow Vended’s 2024 debut album

Vended released their self-titled debut album in September 2024, following several years of singles, touring and the release of their 2021 EP “What Is It / Kill It”. The record helped establish the band’s aggressive sound, combining elements of alternative metal, groove metal and nu-metal.

Their latest studio sessions suggest that the group are preparing the next stage of their recording career, although they have not yet announced a title, release date or other details about the new material. It also remains unclear whether the current sessions will result in a full-length album, an EP or individual singles. For now, fans can get an early glimpse of the recording process through the videos shared by Vended on social media.
