Another live video has been released by Vended, an alternative metal band that includes drummer Simon Crahan (son of M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan) and singer Griffin Taylor (son of Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor).
The video shows the band playing “Ded To Me” at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts, on October 25, 2025, when they were opening for Mudvayne and Static-X, as per Lambgoat.
Vended was established in 2018 by teenagers Griffin Taylor and Simon Crahan, who subsequently enlisted bassist Jeremiah Pugh and guitarists Cole Espeland and Connor Grodzicki. The band’s name, pronounced with an emphasis on the second syllable as “ven-DEAD,” is derived from the word vendetta, and they initially refrained from touring due to their youth.
The younger members, Taylor and Crahan, reject comparisons to Slipknot, asserting that they are predominantly self-taught musicians without extensive guidance from their fathers. This claim has been corroborated by the elder Taylor and Crahan.
Their inaugural live performance took place in their hometown of Des Moines in March 2020, shortly before a hiatus was necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The band released their debut single “Asylum” in September 2021, followed by “Burn My Misery” in October. Their genre is described as nu metal mixed with metalcore influences.
In November 2021, Vended issued a five-track EP titled “What Is It//Kill It”. During late 2022, they toured the United States alongside Jinjer and P.O.D., and released multiple standalone singles beginning that year.
Their debut full-length album, titled “Vended”, was launched in September 2024. Connor Grodzicki departed from the band in September 2025 for personal reasons.
