Originally Greek, now Germany based post-metal outfit Unverkalt has released a new single titled “Oath Ov Prometheus”. The track continues the band’s current album cycle and offers another focused look into their evolving sound.
“Oath Ov Prometheus” appears on the upcoming full length “Héréditaire”, which is scheduled for release on February 27, 2026 through Season of Mist. The song follows the previously released “Die Auslöschung” and expands on the album’s dense and carefully layered atmosphere. While the band remains rooted in post metal, the new single leans strongly into black metal textures and slow building tension.
Musically, the track balances harsh vocals with wide and cinematic arrangements. As a result, the song feels both suffocating and expansive at the same time. Lyrically, “Oath Ov Prometheus” draws from mythological themes and challenges ideas of creation, inheritance, and human legacy, which sit at the core of “Héréditaire”.
Since forming in Greece and later relocating to Germany, Unverkalt have steadily built a reputation for immersive and emotionally heavy music. Over time, the band have refined their approach by blending post metal structures with blackened intensity and experimental elements. Therefore, the new single fits naturally into their catalog while still pushing their sound forward.
