Argentinian groove/death metallers Under The Silence have shared a new music video for their single “Convicción”. The track is taken from the band’s latest album “Designio” (2023). Watch the Zion Pro-directed clip below.
The clip was shot in El Sótano, an old venue in the city of Rosario, Argentina, which is very representative of local heavy metal, with the special cameo of Hess singer Mélani.
Regarding the album “Designio” the band commented: “The content in the lyrics and cover would basically reflect the importance of the awakening of human consciousness and the development and nurturing of the pineal gland as a fundamental tool for the upliftment of humanity”.
They added: “When this third eye (representing the gland) is activated and awakened… all the lies, deception and manipulation around it will be in ruins forever. That is why the monument to the pineal gland would remain intact amid all this circus covered in dust“.
Under The Silence is a band from Villa Gobernador Gálvez, a city located in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina. Founded in 2014, the outfit is influenced by Pantera, Metallica, Black Label Society, Children Of Bodom, In Flames, Anathema, Amorphis and Lacrimas Profundere, among others.
The Villa Gobernador Gálvez-born act made their live debut in March 2015 and quickly won a band contest called Golpe de Metal, which led them to record their first album “Tomorrow’s Chronicler” (2016). After a hiatus, they returned to rehearsals in 2022 and released their latest album “Designio”, in 2023. “Convicción” is the opening track of the LP.
The band currently consists of: Gustavo Rapari (bass), Juan Cruz López (guitar, vocals) and Matute Sosa (vocals, guitar).
