Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats have revealed the specifics of their seventh studio album after a confrontation with Gorillaz earlier this month, as per theprp. Edgar Allan Poe’s 1842 short story “The Masque Of The Red Death” served as a partial source of inspiration for this record by the British psych rock group. Engineer Chris Bolster (Ozzy Osbourne, Paul McCartney) worked behind the boards during analogue recording sessions for the project at the esteemed Abbey Road Studios in London, England. Noel Summerville (The White Stripes, My Bloody Valentine) was hired to master it, and Kevin Starrs, the band’s lead singer and guitarist, took over production duties.
