Ukrainian d-beat band Obrij releases new single as part of split EP with Merzotna Potvora

Ukrainian d-beat/hardcore band Obrij have unveiled a brand-new song titled “Час випробовує нас” (“Time Tests Us”), featured on their upcoming split release with fellow act Merzotna Potvora.

The split, titled “Merzotna Potvora / Обрій”, is being released digitally through the Neformat Family label and will arrive on September 25, 2025.

Clocking in at just over three and a half minutes, “Час випробовує нас” carries Obirj’s signature mix of intensity and atmosphere. The split itself includes two tracks from Merzotna Potvora before handing over to Obrij for this song and a closing track.

Thematically, the track explores perseverance and inner strength, reflecting on how time itself can be both a challenge and a test. With its raw energy and emotional weight, it fits naturally into Obirj’s body of work, offering fans another striking glimpse into the band’s evolving sound.
