London mathcore trio Pupil Slicer have unveiled their latest single, “Nomad”, from their upcoming third album “Fleshwork”, set to arrive on November 7 via Prosthetic Records.
In describing “Nomad”, vocalist and guitarist Kate Davies frames it as a reflection on life in a “post-truth” society. She speaks to the way people retreat into echo chambers, how easily dehumanization can take root, and the extent to which those in power manipulate narratives to justify actions that cost lives. She further positions the internet as a landscape overrun by disinformation and malicious interaction.
“Fleshwork” is billed by the band as a “deconstruction of what it means to be human,” exploring systemic cruelty, self-destruction, and how individuals navigate a world that often fails the vulnerable. The album was recorded and mixed by Joe Clayton (Pijn, Bossk) at No Studio in Manchester, with mastering handled by Grant Berry.
This era of Pupil Slicer also marks the integration of bassist Luke Booth into the band’s lineup, contributing to both performance and writing. Their earlier singles “Heather” and “Black Scrawl” are also included on “Fleshwork”.
Ahead of the album drop, Pupil Slicer have announced a UK tour with LLNN beginning November 25 and running through November 30, with shows in Bristol, Nottingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, and London.
