Two stages for Slipknot in 2027? Here’s what the Iowa band is planning

In 2027, Slipknot will perform live for the first time in almost two years, with a bonus stage in a few locations along the tour route. There are currently “B stage” seating diagrams for certain concerts on ticketing platforms. On September 28, Slipknot released a press release announcing their 2027 (sic)est Stadium Tour, which included a vague hint of stage layout alterations.

Featuring a brand new set, new staging and a setlist spanning across their career, these shows will be the ultimate Slipknot experience to date.

A few days later, other fans went to buy tickets and saw the B stage. A sizable main stage, a pit area, and a B stage in front of the seats were depicted on ticketing websites.

Regretfully, it appears that not every city along the tour route will receive a B stage. The following stops do not have a B stage, apparently:

• Wednesday, July 21, 2027 – Parc Jean-Drapeau, Montreal, QC, Canada
• Saturday, July 31, 2027 – Fenway Park, Boston, MA, US
• Tuesday, August 03, 2027 – FirstBank Stadium, Nashville, TN, US
• Sunday, August 15, 2027 – Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA, US
• Saturday, September 04, 2027 – The Town Festival, São Paulo, Brazil
• Sunday, September 12, 2027 – Estadio Nacional, Santiago, Chile
• Tuesday, September 14, 2027 – Estadio Nacional, Lima, Peru
• Thursday, September 16, 2027 – Vive Claro, Bogotá, Colombia

There has been a lot of fan speculation over the specific plans for the considerably smaller B stage, as is the case with most things Slipknot performs. According to a Reddit thread discussing the matter, the general consensus is that new drummer Eloy Casagrande will set up his drums on stage for a big solo. Some have speculated that Slipknot would alternate between stages during the performance, similar to what Nine Inch Nails did on their most recent tour. It’s also possible that a main stage act will be followed by a second set, much like My Chemical Romance has been doing in recent performances.
