Robbie Williams, the British pop star, revealed that he has recorded a song with Glenn Hughes and Tony Iommi for his next album. The song “Rocket,” which features the former Black Sabbath members, is featured on the LP for Williams‘ new biopic “Better Man”, in which he is portrayed as an anthropomorphic monkey, complete with his own eyes. In a new interview with the NME, the former member of Take That, whose solo career includes seven No. 1 singles and 13 No. 1 albums in the UK, stated that he had strived for a distinct tone from his signature sound. When asked if Iommi was involved, Williams confirmed and added this.

And Glenn Hughes! I wanted to make the album that I’d make if I’d left Take That now, knowing what I know. This particular song encapsulates that perfectly. Unfortunately and fortunately… pop songs turned up along the way too. I’m like: ‘Ah, fuck – a hit!

And about the song “Rocket“, he says this:

This [track] is massive guitars, as you can imagine. It’s adrenaline-filled and balls-to-the-wall. That one in particular is my favorite song off my new album – that I’ve just announced is happening!
