The plans for Twisted Sister‘s reunion this year were derailed when frontman Dee Snider’s health prevented him from participating in the confirmed shows, as per theprp. In order to complete their live obligations, the band’s guitarist/vocalists, Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda, recruited vocalist Sebastian Bach. Snider himself fully supported Bach, a professional musician and former member of the glam metal group Skid Row. Twisted Sister‘s 2026 touring lineup has been confirmed with the addition of former Ace Frehley drummer Joey Cassata (original drummer A.J. Pero died in 2015). The group, again at full size, has announced that they will perform four gigs in North America in the autumn of 2026.
The code “TWISTED2026” will be used to purchase presale tickets tomorrow, April 8, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The general onsale is set for this Friday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Fans of the band were initially alarmed by Snider’s inability to take part in this comeback tour, but it has since been disclosed that his knee arthritis was the main cause of his withdrawal, and his physician warned of more issues if he continued the journey. Twisted Sister had previously stopped performing in 2016, but in 2023 they made a brief comeback to the stage for an awards show.
The American heavy metal group Twisted Sister was founded in 1972 in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, and then moved to Long Island, New York. “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock” are two of their most well-known songs, and their music videos are renowned for their slapstick comedy. In addition to their music, the band is also known for their hairstyles, androgynous attire, and makeup, which led to their classification in the 1980s hair metal genre.
