The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die will release their fifth album, “Dreams of Being Dust”, on August 22nd via Epitaph. A follow-up to 2021’s Illusory Walls, the new record marks a sharp turn into heavier, more aggressive territory—both musically and emotionally.

So far, the band has unveiled three singles: the sprawling “Auguries of Guilt,” the politically-charged hardcore blast “Beware the Centrist,” and the post-hardcore rager “Se Sufre Pero Se Goza” (Spanish for “You Suffer But You Enjoy”), featuring Brendan Murphy of Counterparts and END. The latest track mixes soaring melodies with chaotic riffage and piercing screams, embodying the album’s raw emotional weight.

Guitarist Chris Teti co-produced the album with Greg Thomas (END, Misery Signals), pushing the band toward the heaviness they’ve long hinted at live. According to Teti, after years of leaning into post-rock, they simply embraced a louder, angrier direction.

Much of the album was shaped by personal loss, with “Se Sufre Pero Se Goza” written in the wake of deaths in the band members’ families. Vocalist David F. Bello describes the music as a coping mechanism—and a possible lifeline for others dealing with grief.
